Quality Control Inspector II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States. On-site, full-time. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Execute quality control processes for purchased products, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
• Inspect PCBs, PCBAs, EEE components, and cable assemblies using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, VMMs, and microscopes.
• Document inspection activities in electronic systems, written logs, and labels.
• Maintain and improve inspection methods, plans, internal quality procedures, and processes.
• Support nonconformance resolution, MRB control and disposition, audit findings, and corrective actions using root cause and 8D methodologies.
• Analyze quality data, report department metrics, support continuous improvement, and coordinate daily process schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years inspecting PCBs or PCBAs.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems and microscopic visual inspection.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification.
• Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
• Ability to read engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions, with strong communication, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.
