Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States; onsite at the Fayetteville manufacturing site

What you will do

  • Lead engineering activities for the Formaldehyde, Resin, Wax, and Hexamine processes, improving safety, compliance, quality, productivity, capacity, and cost.
  • Develop and execute capital projects, including scope, estimates, schedules, technical specifications, installation, commissioning, and startup.
  • Coordinate Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis reviews, OSHA Process Safety Management practices, process documentation, and mechanical integrity activities.
  • Support production troubleshooting through data gathering, trending, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
  • Lead continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives, present key performance indicators, and translate results into improvement actions.
  • Direct plant engineers and Professional Development Program engineers while supporting recruiting, training, feedback, and team development.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least two years of plant engineering or related experience in chemical processing or a similar industry.
  • Working knowledge of process optimization, troubleshooting, capital project execution, and manufacturing operations.
  • Understanding of OSHA Process Safety Management and Management of Change requirements.
  • Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment documentation, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces, wear a respirator, climb, stand, and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading or developing engineers in a plant or site engineering organization.
  • Experience with formaldehyde, resin, wax, or hexamine process technology.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with process control or process data historian applications and MS Office.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification, Process Hazard Analysis leadership, budgeting, debottlenecking, or mechanical integrity experience.
