What you will do
- Lead and optimize daily PAN and carbon fiber manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues and minimize downtime through rapid corrective action.
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on yield, throughput, cycle time, and plant efficiency.
- Plan and implement new line startups, qualifications, engineering changes, and factory automation activities.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for complex product, process, and equipment issues.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain while mentoring engineers and operators and leading improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering with 7+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Manufacturing experience and demonstrated ability to lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Capability and interest in progressing toward operations management and site leadership.
- Experience with cross-functional leadership and mentoring.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Required U.S. immigration or citizenship status as specified in the posting.
