Machinist (Lathe)

Location: Deer Park, NY, USA; onsite manufacturing role

Compensation: $25–$30 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate manual lathe machines to manufacture parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select tooling and adjust speeds, feeds, and other machine settings.
• Perform first-piece inspections and measure finished parts for quality and specification compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following machine-guarding and other safety procedures.
• Work overtime as required to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of conventional machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprint drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math, including converting fractions and decimals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate about technical topics in English.
• Punctuality, dependability, organization, multitasking, and good interpersonal skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
