What you will do

• Perform a complete range of milling operations on various materials using vertical and tracer-type milling machines.
• Set up and operate vertical mills using specified equipment.
• Develop new machining methods and techniques for complex components.
• Interpret technical drawings and perform difficult layouts, occasionally working without operation sheets.
• Inspect all finished work to detect defects and ensure compliance with strict aviation specifications.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Buffalo, NY.
• At least 3 years of experience as a precision machinist in a machine shop setting.
• Mandatory enrollment and participation in the F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to apply English instructions and basic mathematics.
