Managing Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Compensation: $20,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the company’s sign-on bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead engineers and technical staff on water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through bidding and construction.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, technical quality, and team workload.
• Build client relationships, identify business opportunities, prepare proposals, and deliver client presentations.
• Mentor staff and support a high-performing culture focused on quality, accountability, and professional growth.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management across the western United States.
• Support talent development, succession planning, and long-term organizational sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer registration in Utah, or the ability to obtain it.
• 10+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience developing project proposals, scopes, and budgets and successfully executing engineering projects.
• Strong staff mentorship, performance management, strategic planning, client development, and operational oversight capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
