Water Resources Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

Location: Tampa, Florida, USA; office-based full-time position

What you will do

• Manage water resources, watershed, and stormwater projects from planning through closeout.
• Provide technical leadership for planning studies, designs, construction documents, and specialty services.
• Prepare project scopes, schedules, budgets, proposals, and business development materials.
• Lead project teams, coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies, and ensure quality, schedule, and financial performance.
• Support hiring for the Tampa water resources team and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 12–20 years of technical experience with municipal and private clients in Florida.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida, or ability to obtain it within six months of starting.
• Successful experience delivering civil engineering planning studies, designs, and construction documents.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience serving clients in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties.
• Familiarity with Tampa Bay Area development and design processes.
• Experience with regulatory and permitting submissions, technical writing, client communications, and construction plan packages.
• Practical experience with hydrology and hydraulics software such as BMP Trains, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HSPF, SWMM, and StormWise.
