Senior Design Engineer, Wastewater

What you will do

• Lead water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering services for municipal clients in the Southwest region.
• Organize teams to pursue water-sector opportunities, position services with local clients, and lead proposal development.
• Lead complex design assignments, including condition assessments, rehabilitation design, capacity planning, hydraulic calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering reports, studies, memoranda, task proposals, and requests for proposals.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, resources, client coordination, invoicing, and payments.
• Mentor staff, coordinate interdisciplinary engineering teams, and present project deliverables to clients.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; an M.S. degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting, including studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• Experience preparing contract documents, drawings, and specifications for complex water and wastewater projects.
• Experience coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, including structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, and architectural specialists.
• Strong communication, technical writing, client development, collaboration, innovation, and project leadership skills.
