Senior Business Systems Analyst (Logistics/Rail): Developing digital solutions that support rail transportation, operational efficiency, compliance, and business decision-making with an accent on requirements gathering, process mapping, functional specifications, and systems lifecycle management. Focus on coordinating vendors and stakeholders, analyzing cost-benefit and ROI, prioritizing product backlogs, and leading cross-functional testing and IT service management improvements.

What you will do

Analyze rail business processes covering rail services, gate operations, maintenance and reliability, commercial activities, and accounting.
Gather business requirements, map current and future-state processes, conduct fit-gap analysis, and develop functional specifications.
Recommend system alternatives and enhancements while supporting product roadmaps, backlog prioritization, release planning, application readiness, and legacy capability retirement.
Partner with business leaders, product owners, development teams, vendors, and third-party solution providers to resolve issues and deliver technology improvements.
Lead cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to support implementation decisions and business planning.
Lead cross-functional testing strategies, user story and feedback activities, and IT service management improvement efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Logistics domain knowledge is required; rail operations, transportation, and maintenance and reliability experience are strongly preferred.
Experience with business analysis, requirements management, business process modeling and redesign, SDLC, specification development, and quality assurance.
Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, change management, and continuous improvement skills.
