Senior Manager-Strategy & Business Development (Financial Services)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Hybrid schedule with employees working in the office at least four days per week and up to one day from home.

Base salary: $140,200–$192,800 per year, with potential bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead core components of strategic consulting projects, identifying key issues and developing effective solutions.
• Conduct structured research and analysis to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project and client teams to direct problem-solving and deliver precise solutions.
• Present recommendation rationales clearly to senior stakeholders and support adoption and execution.
• Support enterprise strategy reviews across business lines and align initiatives with overall corporate strategy.
• Provide analytical support for acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and other high-impact growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Direct financial services experience or experience working for a Fortune 500 company.
• Experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or marketing strategy, preferably in financial services.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and thought leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior executives.
• Valid United States work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship needs.

Nice to have

• MBA from a top-tier institution.
• Experience in wealth management or asset management.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 Copilot and embedded generative AI tools for strategy development, data analysis, competitive intelligence, executive synthesis, and recommendation generation.
