Senior Manager Corporate Strategy

Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of working an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office in the United States

Salary: USD 135,500–275,000 annual base salary in California; USD 119,500–275,000 annual base salary in Texas. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Define high-impact corporate, business, and regional strategies over a 2–5+ year horizon.
• Identify market development, investment prioritization, M&A, and other growth opportunities.
• Conduct data-driven competitive, financial, statistical, and economic analyses to model future business outcomes.
• Develop recommendations, project guidelines, contingency plans, objectives, and deliverables for senior management.
• Lead large cross-functional teams, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Align strategy and direction across businesses, functions, and regions while communicating strategy to internal organizations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking, or typically 4–7 years after an advanced degree leading strategic projects, deals, or financial improvement initiatives.
• Corporate strategy, investment banking, or management consulting experience is required.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, statistical analysis, and financial modeling skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, facilitation, influence, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent project management and leadership capabilities, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and independent management of complex workstreams.
• Ability to draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communication strategies independently.

• Advanced university degree such as an MBA.
• Knowledge of applications, technologies, and business operations across multiple business units.
• Experience developing new analytical methods, techniques, and criteria for strategy recommendations.
