Application Engineer Intern (Packaging)

What you will do

• Learn the returnable-packaging sales cycle from design and estimating through quoting, sampling, and customer delivery.
• Participate in face-to-face customer meetings and support delivery of finished products and quotes.
• Enter projects into design software and learn the information required to begin a design.
• Review and approve completed designs while receiving guidance from experienced Application Engineers.
• Visit ORBIS locations to learn the packaging production cycle.

Requirements

• Working toward a degree in Packaging Engineering is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Must work onsite at the Troy, Michigan office.
