Manufacturing Engineer (Packaging Automation)

Location: Holland, Michigan, USA; onsite manufacturing and engineering work with occasional travel for customer and supplier support

What you will do

• Investigate manufacturing processes and products and verify the manufacturability of new and existing designs.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to select designs and processes that reduce labor and overhead costs.
• Review product form, fit, and function with engineering designers using SolidWorks.
• Develop manufacturing documentation for tooling, production, and manufacturing preparation.
• Coordinate efficiency programs, including testing and analysis of assemblies, processes, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with quality control on non-conformances and provide occasional field engineering support.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent preferred.
• Three years of engineering experience required; packaging industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks and in-depth ERP systems.
• Experience may include machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

• Experience operating machining equipment.
