Program Manager

Location: Hybrid position based at HHMI headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States; domestic travel is required for site visits, convenings, and conferences.

Hiring pay range: $103,508–$129,385 annual.

What you will do

• Build and maintain systems tracking student participation, persistence, transfer, and graduation outcomes across Community College Pilot sites.
• Coordinate data collection with institutional partners, reconcile inconsistencies, and maintain data quality, consistency, and confidentiality.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare summaries, dashboards, and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Support evaluation framework development and the dissemination of lessons learned and effective practices.
• Collaborate with partner institutions on student recruitment, engagement, retention, and additional support for students who need it.
• Serve as a resource on community college student experiences and transfer pathways, and coordinate responses to site questions and issues.

Requirements

• Direct professional experience in or with community colleges is required.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Three to five years of professional experience in higher education, student success, institutional research, program evaluation, or a related field.
• Ability to build durable data systems, identify quality issues, and translate findings into actionable information.
• Ability to manage multiple institutional relationships and data streams and communicate clearly with technical, institutional, and student audiences.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting transfer students or science student populations.
• Experience with student information systems, survey tools, or data visualization platforms.
• Experience with program assessment and longitudinal student tracking.
