Manager, PMO - Software Programs (Medical Device R&D)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $124,300–$211,700 annual, plus potential discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive plan participation depending on role eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of software-focused project managers.
• Establish project governance frameworks, objectives, accountability, and reporting practices.
• Oversee software development programs from definition through commercialization.
• Manage risks, critical paths, dependencies, resource constraints, escalations, and cross-functional alignment.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, product, regulatory, and other stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality software products.
• Drive continuous improvement by maintaining and sharing lessons learned across programs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years of functional management.
• Experience managing and mentoring project managers.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including Agile, hybrid, or waterfall approaches.
• Experience with regulatory and quality frameworks for software-based products, such as FDA QSR and ISO standards.
• Ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
