What you will do

• Analyze and resolve conflicts of interest, ethical risks, and business risks in collaboration with Risk Management, the Office of General Counsel, Conflicts and New Business teams, and Information Security.
• Conduct conflict searches and support new client and matter openings and lateral partner onboarding.
• Draft, review, and negotiate Outside Counsel Guidelines, engagement agreements, and conflict waivers.
• Provide clear guidance on ethical rules, firm policies, contractual concepts, and risk management under strict deadlines.
• Develop ethics and risk training programs and improve departmental workflows, documentation, and best practices.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow data security and document-handling policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, Juris Doctor degree, and an active law license in good standing in at least one state.
• Five to seven years of experience in a large law firm or in-house legal services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable jurisdiction-specific ethics rules.
• Strong understanding of contract principles, with experience working with Outside Counsel Guidelines and engagement letters preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information and sit or stand for extended periods; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
