Salary: $119,300–$178,900 gross annual for Boston; the range is location-dependent and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Create and analyze complex conflict reports for legal hires, new business, and marketing initiatives.
• Research potential conflicts, ethical rules, jurisdictional requirements, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate identified issues to attorneys and facilitate conflict resolution with firm leadership and the Ethics Advisory Committee.
• Guide Conflict Analysts and Specialists on research, corporate family tree analysis, and report preparation.
• Draft engagement and waiver letters and prepare and implement ethical walls.
• Support the customization and implementation of conflicts, business intake, and ethical wall software, including scheduled weekend on-call coverage.

Requirements

• JD degree required.
• 5+ years of experience with law firm conflicts and/or a new business department preferred.
• Strong knowledge of professional responsibility rules and the ability to analyze complex conflict issues.
• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues effectively.
• Work location: Boston, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated conflicts or workflow systems.
• Knowledge of CompliGuard and InTapp conflict checking, ethical wall, and business intake software.
