Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracts

Location: Onsite in Nashville, Tennessee, or Fremont, California, USA

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 annual salary for candidates located in California; compensation for Tennessee may differ by market.

What you will do

• Partner with business unit leadership and provide practical legal advice and risk-mitigation recommendations.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and related ancillary agreements.
• Advise the commercial legal team and internal business teams on complex or risk-sensitive contract terms.
• Review solicitations, develop response strategies, and draft legal sections.
• Manage legal projects, outside counsel when needed, internal SLAs, and competing priorities.
• Improve legal processes, playbooks, templates, policies, and continuing-education materials.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the United States and an active member of at least one state bar.
• 6–8 years of legal experience, including law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Experience advising executive clients on contracts, agreements, and business strategy.
• Ability to work as a hands-on legal generalist in a fast-paced, complex organization.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, oral, and communication skills.
