Silicon Validation Engineer 5 (FPGA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Proof of the right to work in the United States is required.

Base pay: $220,800 per year, with potential variable or incentive compensation and/or equity.

What you will do

• Validate and characterize FPGA IP blocks from silicon arrival through production release.
• Develop validation and characterization plans, bench hardware, software, and scripts.
• Develop RTL test logic for validation and characterization using FPGA technologies.
• Lead new silicon product bring-up, validation, debugging, and datasheet parameter characterization.
• Analyze measured data statistically and prepare datasheet documentation.
• Collaborate with design, verification, manufacturing, test, quality, marketing, applications, and customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Expertise in high-speed SerDes characterization, protocol compliance testing, board design, and signal integrity evaluation.
• Expertise with Verilog or VHDL and FPGA development tools.
• Experience developing test automation with Python or Perl.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools such as JMP or R.
• Proficiency with characterization equipment including BERTs, VNAs, oscilloscopes, and protocol exercisers or analyzers; ability to lead small teams as a technical lead.
