FPGA Silicon Validation Engineer (FPGA)

Salary: $106,200–$153,675 USD per year for the Bay Area, California.

What you will do

• Develop and execute silicon validation plans for FPGA devices and associated IP subsystems.
• Perform first-silicon bring-up, feature validation, characterization, and production-readiness testing.
• Build and maintain validation environments, automated test frameworks, and validation infrastructure.
• Debug silicon, FPGA fabric, embedded processor, firmware, and platform-level issues using laboratory equipment and software tools.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, firmware, software, and product engineering teams to identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Support product qualification, customer enablement, and post-silicon debug through technical reporting and real-world validation scenarios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of industry work experience; recent graduates may also apply with adjusted scope and compensation.
• Knowledge of FPGA architecture is advantageous.
• Experience developing in C and Python is advantageous.
• Experience using high-speed test and measurement equipment, including high-bandwidth real-time or sampling oscilloscopes, high-frequency pulse or signal equipment, and power supplies, is advantageous.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.
