TL;DR

Location: Onsite at the 1826 Point West Parkway clinic in Amarillo, Texas, United States. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Greet patients, visitors, and family members and check patients in for appointments.
  • Register and schedule appointments, provide appointment instructions, and manage cancellations and rescheduling.
  • Collect and verify patient forms, demographic and insurance information, co-pays, and outstanding balances.
  • Answer, screen, and route calls and messages between patients, clinic staff, and clinical personnel.
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining patient charts, forms, office supplies, and an orderly lobby.
  • Protect patient information in accordance with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • For Level 2: at least 18 months of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software.
  • For Senior level: at least 5 years of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software.
  • Ability to complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of starting the position.
  • Ability to regularly interact with patients and staff and meet the stated physical requirements, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 30 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Receptionist or office experience for Level 1.
  • Knowledge of the practice’s personnel, daily routines, and scheduling procedures.
