What you will do

  • Supervise assigned clinical, support, and billing staff and coordinate daily operational activities.
  • Schedule, train, coach, onboard, and support staff while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Review, maintain, and update patient scheduling templates for inpatient and outpatient clinical services.
  • Serve as a super user for hospital systems and manage telephone, patient-triage, and internal call workflows.
  • Lead quality improvement, efficiency, resource-utilization, revenue, charge-capture, and documentation projects.
  • Oversee co-payment collection, cash deposits, and physician and allied-health reappointment tracking.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree plus one year of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus more than five years of experience.
  • At least two years of healthcare experience, including staffing and scheduling.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, relational databases, and the ability to learn new applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, telephone, customer service, organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare expenses, billing, revenue, reimbursement models, and confidential medical information handling.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and interact tactfully with patients, physicians, and insurance companies.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years of healthcare experience, including staff training, development, coaching, and evaluation.
