Actuarial Associate (Insurance)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; at least four days per week in the office, with the option to work from home one day per week.

Base salary: $93,400–$128,400 per year, with potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Analyze GAAP and Statutory reserves for the insurance valuation business.
• Support initiatives related to Long-Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI).
• Develop, improve, operate, and document actuarial models.
• Prepare reports and communicate analytical results to management.
• Participate in actuarial modeling and analysis projects within defined scopes.
• Support the validation and development of business controls while mentoring junior team members and interns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent four-year education.
• Three to five years of relevant experience, including three years of actuarial experience.
• All introductory ASA exams plus one Actuarial or Advanced ASA exam or equivalent requirement.
• Completed Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) coursework.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and build strong professional relationships.
• Valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, and database applications.
