Sr Actuarial Analyst (Health Insurance)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid with an in-office requirement of 3 days per week

Base pay: $61,500–$136,100 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain actuarial models, studies, and systems.
• Perform detailed analysis for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and other actuarial functions.
• Run and develop complicated models and analyze their results.
• Prepare written and oral presentations with basic information for decision making.
• Participate in documentation, training, and development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another qualifying field.
• Completion of 3 ASA exam equivalents under the Society of Actuaries’ Education and Examination System.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency, including Word and Excel.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming skills.
• Actuarial experience in health insurance or a related field.
