Senior Actuarial Analyst

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office

Annual salary: $95,325.00–$157,850.00

What you will do

• Analyze claims data with ResQ and other tools to develop actuarial projections.
• Recommend reserves and use data visualization to support recommendations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Identify emerging claims trends and assess their impact on the business.
• Automate processes, improve efficiency, and implement data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Product, FP&A, Claims, and other stakeholders to present analysis and inform decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant Property & Casualty experience, preferably in Pricing and/or Reserving.
• Knowledge of actuarial analysis, claims data, and reserve processes.
• Experience with software tools such as SQL, Excel, R, Python, VBA, and PowerBI.
• Strong data visualization, communication, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meet deadlines, and solve complex business issues.
• Actuarial exams are not required; exam support is available for qualified candidates pursuing that track.

• Experience with ResQ or other reserving software.
