Export and Industrial Security Compliance Manager (Aerospace & Defense): Managing export compliance and industrial security programs for aerospace and defense manufacturing operations with an accent on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, NISPOM, and DoD requirements. Focus on leading Facility Security Office activities, coordinating audits and corrective actions, maintaining classified-material and clearance records, and briefing senior leadership on security risks.

Location: Fort Walton Beach, Florida, United States; onsite in a manufacturing setting

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense markets, including high-power solutions, radar, directed energy, and electronic warfare systems.

What you will do

  • Provide daily export compliance guidance to engineering, operations, quality, sales, contracts, HR, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain export compliance procedures, training programs, internal controls, records, licensing activities, and regulatory updates.
  • Review technical data, product classifications, customer transactions, and export activity under ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements.
  • Serve as the on-site representative to DCSA and other government security agencies and lead Facility Security Office responsibilities.
  • Manage classified material control, personnel clearances, visit authorizations, incident response, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain secure facilities and government security records in systems including DISS, NISS, and NBIS, while communicating risks and improvements to site leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial security, export compliance, or a similar field.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and NISPOM requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree and the ability to manage complex compliance programs independently.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one within 4 months of hire.
  • Only U.S. Persons will be considered where access to Controlled Data or Information is required; selected applicants may undergo a government security investigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leadership and work across functions.

Nice to have

  • Three years of experience as an FSO, Alternate FSO, or in a supporting industrial security role.
  • Direct experience applying NISPOM requirements at a cleared facility.
  • Aerospace and defense, military, or government contracting experience.
  • Experience with security and export compliance IT systems, classified materials, and secure programs.
