Shipping Operator (Industrial Shipping)

What you will do

• Operate loading, packaging, receiving, and shipping activities for bulk and packaged materials.
• Safely load outbound products into tank trucks, totes, and drums and unload inbound raw materials.
• Move empty and full trailers around the site using yard trucks or a capacity spotter.
• Receive raw materials, manage shipping schedules, print bills of lading, and post goods issues in SAP.
• Fill drums, totes, and pails and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Perform analytical testing, final quality inspections, certificates of analysis, minor repairs, and safety or quality investigations.

Requirements

• At least two years of work experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to perform mathematical operations accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate a forklift.
• Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP experience is relevant to the shipping workflow.
• Ability to work 8-hour day, night, and weekend shifts, including overtime, and meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, wearing respirators, and entering confined spaces.
