Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Location: Deer Park, Texas, USA; onsite, full-time

Salary: $18–$24 per hour

What you will do

• Pick up, drop off, distribute, and ship samples and materials to designated laboratories and refineries.
• Log samples into the laboratory system and maintain accurate retain records.
• Prepare samples for transportation and dispatch courier services for hot-shot shipments.
• Receive, process, and distribute packages delivered by transportation couriers.
• Assist laboratory and operations personnel with retrieving retained samples.
• Drive a forklift for loading and unloading and perform daily maintenance of departmental company vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, movement, reaching, and handling tasks.
• Data-entry familiarity, strong communication skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read labels and instructions, follow directions independently, and use Microsoft Office applications.
