Customer Quality Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Customer site in Szeged, Hungary; the role is currently posted in Tatabánya and requires travel.

What you will do

• Support customers with quality-related issues and communicate customer questions through the appropriate internal channels.
• Analyze problems with customers, initiate containment activities, and coordinate fast corrective and preventive actions to avoid production line disturbances.
• Perform product and process audits at customer sites and hirify.global plants, and verify the effectiveness of quality improvements.
• Support new model launch quality milestones, warranty activities, rework feasibility assessments, and supplier-related quality issues.
• Use structured problem-solving tools to record, report, and follow up on facts, figures, and customer-facing actions.
• Report quality KPIs to management and represent the customer assembly plant within hirify.global.

Requirements

• Engineering or Quality Management bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• 3–5 years of relevant industry or automotive quality experience, including customer or OEM cooperation.
• Advanced knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, AIAG & VDA standards, and customer-specific requirements.
• Proficiency in 3L5Why, 8D, Ishikawa, and FTA problem-solving methods.
• Fluent English, professional business presentation skills, strong communication, risk-based decision-making, and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel and collaborate with people from different departments and countries.
