Benchmarking Engineer (Automotive)

Salary: Ft 18,000,000–Ft 26,400,000 annual gross base salary

What you will do

• Define best-practice product references covering bill of materials, bill of labor, bill of process, cost of poor quality, and carbon metrics across automotive business units.
• Develop and lead product benchmarking methods using reliable, validated internal and external data.
• Build benchmarking and product analysis databases for digital cockpit, connectivity modules, ADAS, audio systems, and other advanced technology products.
• Analyze competitor products, benchmark reports, and cost-engineering outputs to establish improvement targets and identify best-value solutions.
• Support value-management workshops, cost-savings ideation, and assigned tasks through completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across procurement, engineering, manufacturing, account management, business units, and suppliers to deliver profitability and sustainability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; electronics or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in product value analysis, cost engineering, value management, procurement, manufacturing, or engineering within the automotive industry.
• At least 10 years of scientific expertise related to semiconductors or electrical devices, including chips, modems, and memory devices.
• Hands-on experience with advanced automotive or consumer electronics products such as digital cockpit, connectivity, ADAS, audio systems, or amplifiers.
• At least 5 years of experience leading diverse global teams, plus demonstrated technical leadership in cost-engineering analysis and technology benchmarking.
• Fluency in English and strong stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and change leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or an MBA.
• Commercial knowledge of procurement, controlling, or related business functions.
