TL;DR
Engineer Advanced Quality (Automotive) (APQP, PPAP, QMS): Driving advanced product quality planning, customer requirements, PPAP documentation, control plans, supplier quality, and prototype quality for automotive seating with an accent on AIAG/VDA standards, GD&T, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Focus on coordinating cross-functional quality activities, resolving manufacturing problems with suppliers, leading 8D problem-solving, and supporting customer audits and communication.
Location: Mor, Hungary; business travel to customer and supplier locations is required

What you will do
- Drive and document all phases of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) based on customer and specific requirements.
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation according to AIAG and VDA guidelines.
- Lead quality activities including Control Plans, Safe Launch controls, MSA, capability studies, FMEA, and critical and special characteristics workshops.
- Coordinate customer quality communication, reporting, audits, and alignment with cross-functional SDT members.
- Work with component and tooling suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems.
- Train Quality and Production personnel and lead problem-solving activities using methods such as 8D and Kepner-Tregoe.
Requirements
- Engineering degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering, development, or production.
- Strong knowledge of QMS standards and tools, including ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.3, VDA 2, VDA RGA, AIAG, APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, inspection planning, and SPC.
- Solid GD&T knowledge, including datum systems, ASME and ISO differences, functional gauges, and RPS.
- Experience with OEMs and/or suppliers, quality problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
- English at minimum B2 and fluent written and spoken German are required.
- Driving licence, mobility, strong interpersonal skills, and leadership capability.
Nice to have
- Design and CMM experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
