Field Service Engineer

Location: Budapest, Hungary; approximately 60–70% of the work is performed outside the office, including international travel to customer and regional office locations, primarily within Europe.

hirify.global Test & Inspection manufactures metrology equipment and inspection systems using X-ray, acoustic imaging, and optical inspection technologies for industries including electronics, aerospace, automotive, energy, lighting, and medical.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade X-ray inspection systems at customer locations.
• Provide hands-on and remote troubleshooting, technical support, and customer training.
• Analyze system failures with engineering, operations, and suppliers, and follow issues through resolution.
• Create service reports, protocols, RMAs, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and accurate CRM records.
• Support spare-parts identification, order processing, aftermarket quotations, product demonstrations, and distributor training.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.

Requirements

• Background in electromechanical systems.
• Proficient PC and software skills.
• Strong customer orientation, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and travel internationally as required.
• Proficiency in English required.
