Manufacturing Operations Leader

Location: Onsite at 1 River Road, Schenectady, NY, USA 12345. Third shift runs from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM; arrival is required at 10:30 PM for shift turnover.

What you will do

• Direct and manage hourly production employees assembling power generation products in the steam turbine final assembly cell.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute daily production plans while meeting safety, quality, productivity, and delivery metrics.
• Assign work, schedule overtime, arrange staffing, and support shift coverage in a union production environment.
• Make timely business-critical decisions and resolve manufacturing issues with engineering, planning, quality, and other cross-functional partners.
• Develop and implement process controls, continuous improvement projects, and effective shift-to-shift transitions.
• Mentor and motivate employees while supporting workplace attendance, safety, training, and manufacturing policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work the required overnight third shift onsite in Schenectady, New York.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
• Experience working with unions in a production environment.
