Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead daily operations for a production shift and ensure safe, timely, and efficient completion of manufacturing schedules.
• Supervise, coordinate, onboard, coach, and develop production employees across multiple product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Materials, Operations Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and other departments to manage parts flow and meet capacity plans.
• Compile and analyze production and performance data, and complete safety, productivity, and policy reports.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
• Resolve shop-floor conflicts, communicate activities between shifts, and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience leading teams, developing people, or organizing tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflict, and maintain an orderly and compliant production environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to work in manufacturing conditions with seasonal temperature variation and occasional exposure to fumes or by-products while following required PPE policies.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system such as Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience as a team lead or in leading project teams in an operational environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
