Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Onsite at a customer site in San Antonio, Texas, five days a week

Salary: $55.23–$128.52 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS, as well as on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve complex issues.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and team leadership while remaining hands-on.

Requirements

• Current U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas five days per week.
• 9+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent experience and education combination.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, Terraform, Ansible, Linux, and terminal-based environments.
• Ability to develop with Python, Bash, or Go and familiarity with Git and Flux.
• Experience with application, container, and operating system deployment, scaling, management, troubleshooting, and Agile development practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
