Electrical Engineering Specialist

Location: South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California; hybrid office setting

Salary: $91,976.90–$105,116.46 per year

What you will do

• Assist the electrical lead with planning, proposals, budget estimates, design, and post-design services for facilities projects.
• Develop electrical design documents, specifications, reports, and related engineering deliverables.
• Support projects involving transit terminals, transportation maintenance facilities, municipal buildings, light commercial facilities, and solar or distributed energy resources.
• Support project design in Revit and AutoCAD and assist other electrical staff as needed.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers assigned to projects.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer, including responsibility for multiple MEP projects.
• E.I.T. certification; aspirations to obtain a P.E. license in the near future. A P.E. license is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, and Energy Code Title 24.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, leadership, time management, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, energy software, and load calculation software.
• Professional Engineer license.
