Substation Electrical EIT/Design Coordinator

Location: United States locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin, including Saint Louis Park, Minneapolis, Madison, and Milwaukee

Salary: $75,059–$109,158 annually in Minnesota

What you will do

• Evaluate, select, and modify electrical engineering techniques and procedures for substation and building projects.
• Work with owners to develop recommendations and make decisions on significant design and engineering features.
• Review electrical documents for interdisciplinary conflicts and coordinate designs with architectural and engineering staff.
• Write and edit electrical specifications, select equipment and electrical devices, and support electrical design documentation.
• Perform contract administration duties, including field inspections and conflict resolution.
• Supervise Electrical CAD Technicians and act as Project Manager on small and mid-size projects when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis.
• Strong computer skills with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
• Desire to pursue professional growth and obtain engineering registration.
• Two or more years of experience designing electrical lighting, power, and systems for building projects is preferred.
• Engineer in Training certificate is preferred; candidates hired without an EIT will use the Coordinator title and are expected to obtain EIT certification for career progression.
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Experience or interest in sustainable design and LEED.
