Registered Nurse, RN - Operating Room

Pay range: $43.01–$98.89 per hour

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized, age-appropriate patient and family care.
• Provide professional nursing care throughout the patient journey, including procedures, treatments, medication administration, and discharge coordination.
• Support specialized operating room services including transplant, trauma, robotics, vascular, orthopedic, thoracic, ENT, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, residents, fellows, nursing colleagues, and other disciplines.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families, delegate responsibilities, and contribute to professional development and shared governance.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required depending on the department and care provided.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity surgical environment with prolonged standing and walking, patient transfers, hazardous exposures, and irregular hours.
• Maintain current licensure and comply with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
