Senior Counsel, Insurance (Insurtech)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary legal advisor for hirify.global Health and hirify.global Life & Annuities, leading transactional work across the insurance portfolio.
• Advise on healthcare regulations affecting Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, ACA, ICHRA, and ancillary products.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with key counterparties.
• Support strategic, corporate, and regulatory reorganizations, as well as advisor and client transitions.
• Review responses to CMS, state Department of Insurance, and carrier audits and manage related complaints and inquiries.
• Prepare regulatory training for portfolio companies and agents, including training on sales practices.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of healthcare regulatory experience with CMS, a state Department of Insurance, NAIC, a law firm, or an in-house broker or carrier legal department.
• 4–6 years of transactional experience in commercial agreements, M&A, or fund-related work.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, critical thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide practical legal advice, manage diverse legal issues independently, and balance risk management with business needs.
