Senior Technical Specialist, SRG

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States

Annual base salary: $94,400–$155,800, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage complex, large-exposure toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct, environmental, and excess claims.
• Research legacy policies, analyze coverage, and prepare coverage recommendations for management and policyholders.
• Investigate liability and damages, develop resolution strategies, and manage litigation, counsel, experts, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Manage assigned accounts, coordinate communications and reporting, and lead meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Estimate claim and account exposures, develop budgets, maintain defense and indemnity reserves, and ensure accurate claim-file documentation.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, training, interviewing support, and project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in toxic tort, latent injury, environmental claims, and coverage determination.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus 3 years of experience handling environmental claims and coverage determination, severe complex liability claims, litigation, or comparable legal work.
• Alternatively, 3 years of bodily injury or property damage claim handling or comparable claim litigation experience plus 1 year of SRG experience.
• Advanced knowledge of legal issues, applicable case law, regulatory and claims environments, analytical thinking, judgment, communication, and relationship management.
• Insurance license acquisition and maintenance may be required; generally, required licenses must be obtained within three months of starting.
