Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, USA; onsite warehouse and facility work.

Salary: $29.25–$34.41 per hour.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment, automated packaging and distribution systems, conveyor systems, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform documented predictive and preventive maintenance routines.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues involving belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and related equipment.
• Create, assign, and close work orders while recording labor hours, maintenance activity, and parts used.
• Track department inventory and maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility.
• Mentor junior technicians and support a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• At least 2 years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics, plus knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, using an aerial lift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in fluctuating warehouse temperatures while wearing required PPE.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field.
• Knowledge of MHE safety standards and OEM requirements.
• Experience operating and maintaining robotic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
