Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Location: Uxbridge, Massachusetts, USA; onsite warehouse and facility work with movement between departments, floors, and properties.

Salary: $29.25–$34.41 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging, distribution, material handling, conveyor, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems involving belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and related equipment.
• Create, assign, and close work orders with labor, maintenance, and parts data.
• Track department inventory and maintain accurate documentation in the CMMS.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility.
• Mentor junior technicians and support their development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• At least 2 years of experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance.
• At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics, plus knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, using an aerial lift, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college in mechanical or electrical studies.
• Experience with MHE safety standards, OEM requirements, robotic operation and maintenance, and basic input/output troubleshooting.
