Robotics Field Service Technician (Robotics)

Location: United States; field-based work across the U.S. with up to 80% local travel and up to 50% overnight travel

Salary: $29–$32 per hour; typical annualized earnings of $82,500–$91,500 based on hours worked. Overtime is paid for hours over 40 per workweek.

What you will do

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic manufacturing cells using established procedures and checklists.
• Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, PLC, and robotic control systems.
• Respond to on-site service calls, troubleshoot issues, escalate complex problems, and support production recovery.
• Provide hands-on technical support to customer operators and maintenance teams.
• Record service activity, asset updates, spare-part needs, and follow-up actions in CMMS and fleet systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify recurring failure patterns, support root-cause analysis and audits, and maintain trusted customer relationships.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on field service or maintenance experience with robotic or industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems, with the ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
• Experience using CMMS platforms to track maintenance activity.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, complete directed tasks with minimal oversight, and produce clear service documentation.
• Ability to work in field-based customer facilities across the United States, with up to 80% local travel and up to 50% overnight travel.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, including LOTO and industrial compliance.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB, or Universal Robots, including maintenance, troubleshooting, or basic programming.
• Familiarity with palletizing, case packing, pick-and-place, or conveyor systems.
• Experience in food, beverage, packaging, CPG, or other high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Prior customer-facing field experience.
• Spanish language proficiency.
