Associate Director, Defense Business & Strategy

Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States; hybrid with onsite work required four or more days per week.

Salary: $141,700–$268,300 per year.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global Defense business plans, financial models, and operational frameworks.
• Partner with the Director of Defense Vehicle Strategy & Business Development to execute long-term defense strategies and support market penetration.
• Create board-level strategy documents, presentations, briefings, and whitepapers for senior executives.
• Design organizational blueprints, processes, and infrastructure for launching and scaling hirify.global Defense.
• Build integrated master schedules across hirify.global Pro, FCSD, PC&I, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Establish governance cadences, track KPIs, and manage risks, dependencies, and executive progress reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of corporate strategy, business strategy, or business planning experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive.
• Experience preparing board-level documents, corporate briefings, and executive presentations for C-suite audiences.
• Experience aligning matrixed stakeholders around a shared launch or business initialization schedule.
• Advanced capability with project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent, and financial business modeling.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• MBA or experience launching, incubating, or scaling a defense business unit.
• Familiarity with automotive manufacturing timelines, platform engineering cycles, or technology commercialization.
• Defense company, military, or business planning experience.
