Director, Strategy and M&A (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Partner with senior leadership to shape enterprise strategy and strengthen the product portfolio.
• Identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities across the business.
• Lead the full M&A lifecycle, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and deal structuring.
• Drive post-close integration and translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
• Present strategy and transaction rationale to senior leaders, the board, and external partners.
• Improve strategic processes and decision-making frameworks using continuous-improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in M&A, corporate strategy, investment banking, FP&A, or strategic consulting.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end M&A transactions, including diligence, valuation, negotiations, and integration.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and portfolio strategy capabilities.
• Executive-level communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, EBOS, or related operational-excellence practices.

Nice to have

• Experience driving strategy in complex engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace and defense environments.
• MBA qualification.
