Director Strategy, Mercury Marine (Marine)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid work with 3+ days per week in person

Salary: $132,500–$196,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentive award.

What you will do

• Shape Mercury Marine’s long-term vision, growth, and profitability strategies across portfolios, products, technologies, customers, channels, and geographies.
• Analyze strategic alternatives, prioritize options, make fact-based recommendations, and support execution of strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional, category, and functional leaders on strategic planning, portfolio and technology optimization, financial analysis, and business development.
• Lead and contribute to the annual strategic planning process and cross-functional special projects.
• Identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including M&A and joint ventures, and support negotiations and due diligence.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis and provide recommendations to Mercury leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in relevant disciplines and functions, including work across business groups within multinational organizations.
• Strong strategic, analytical, decision-making, transformational, and business development capabilities.
• Experience translating large data sets into concise insights and managing complexity across brands, locations, divisions, and geographies.
• Business and financial acumen, including knowledge of P&L drivers and cross-functional experience across multiple disciplines.
• Strong executive communication, collaboration, influencing, time management, and multitasking skills.
