Lab Generalist I (Overnight Shift) (Veterinary Diagnostics)

Location: Southaven, Mississippi, United States. Onsite overnight shift from 1:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

Target pay: $17.84 per hour.

What you will do

• Receive, prepare, and send out samples for laboratory analysis.
• Start up, maintain, and operate laboratory analyzers.
• Perform quality control according to quality assurance guidelines.
• Enter, interpret, and release laboratory results.
• Reconcile pending lists and support laboratory efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
• Complete departmental training and follow standard operating practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Laboratory skills, a general science background, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and communicate accurate information in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills, strong typing ability, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• English proficiency sufficient for team meetings, accurate data entry, and understanding written instructions.
• Ability to remain stationary for up to two hours, perform heavy microscopic work, and occasionally lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Two- or four-year degree in a science-related field.
• Prior laboratory experience.
