Clinical Lab Aide II (Molecular Diagnostics)

Location: Brisbane, California, United States; onsite. Shift: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, Tuesday–Saturday.

Salary: $23–$29 USD per hour base pay for San Francisco Bay Area roles. Additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units may apply.

What you will do

• Process patient specimens and receive, accession, and track samples in the laboratory information management system.
• Assist licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientists with bench testing, including molecular testing activities.
• Prepare consumables, maintain instruments, and perform instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Support materials management, including ordering, receiving, labeling, documenting, and stocking laboratory supplies and reagents.
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, research and development studies, and corrective-action documentation.
• Identify issues affecting protocols or test-system performance, escalate them to laboratory leadership, and maintain patient health information confidentiality.

Requirements

• Associate of Arts degree required; a biology-related BS/BA is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Aptitude for molecular testing techniques, including PCR and real-time PCR.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
• Effective verbal and written English communication is required.
