Lab Technician or CLS I/II/III (Clinical Diagnostics)

Location: Lenexa, Kansas, USA. On-site position with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Perform clinical laboratory assays and examine specimens for validity, type, volume, and other requirements.
• Prepare samples, including accurate and precise pipetting, reagent preparation, labeling, storage, retrieval, and filing.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and automated or manual testing platforms.
• Perform quality control activities, document remedial actions and maintenance, and ensure the validity of test results.
• Enter and maintain testing data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Collaborate with laboratory associates while following processing timelines, safety standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological, physical, chemical, or clinical laboratory science.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• For CLS I: at least one year of clinical laboratory experience in a CLIA-certified laboratory under Clinical or Medical Director oversight.
• For CLS II: at least two years of qualifying clinical laboratory experience, including CLS I-level work.
• For CLS III: at least six years of qualifying clinical or CLIA-certified laboratory experience.
• Ability to handle potentially infectious blood and body fluids, use PPE and aseptic techniques, interpret SOPs, operate laboratory platforms, and work evening and weekend hours.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of assays, instrumentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience mentoring associates, training personnel, participating in troubleshooting, or serving on laboratory committees.
