Commercial Construction Project Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA; fully onsite for the duration of the 12-month training program.

Salary: $77,000–$82,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Participate in the hirify.global Futures Program through onsite shadowing, hands-on learning, mentorship, and structured development reviews.
• Maintain jobsite offices and project records, including construction documents, daily reports, submittal logs, RFI logs, and subcontractor correspondence.
• Support site inspections, building and site protection, construction tasks, schedule updates, material takeoffs, supplier orders, and deliveries.
• Interpret basic coordination drawings, as-built drawings, tests, and reports, and assist with survey and layout activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor foremen meetings and assist project managers with budgeting, logistics, and client management.
• Support the Corporate Safety Program through safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or a four-year degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or business is strongly preferred.
• Previous commercial jobsite experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Passion for construction and willingness to work onsite are required.
